Prediction of oil and gas accumulations on deep horizons

Potential value of oil structures on the basis of determination of ratio Fe3+/Fe general by nuclear gamma-resonance spectroscopy (NYRS) and magnetometry

Method allows

Method is based on effect of iron reduction and forming magnetic mineral in layers, overlapping oil deposits under influence of gases raizing to the surface.

Method has been worked out and fulfilled on the material of five oil and gas deposits (Tartay, Bratskoye, Orenburgskoye, Zaykinskoye, Chkalovskoye) and one false geophysical anomaly. Iron oxidation level both in the surface samples and up to the depth of 300 m is marked. Methodical recommendations have been worked out and approved.

Advantages of the method

high sensitivity and truth because of ratio of iron with various valency (not gross one) in concrete minerals making rock up, and also joining NYRS and magnetometry methods up.

Economic efficiency is achieved by prediction of deep oil and gas accumulations according to core and mud analysis from the short-metric wells.
