VIMS Laboratory Center (BLC) accredited by the RF Committee of Standartization, Metrology and Certification, carries on the accrediting and consultation of analytic laboratories (centers) performing a quantitative chemical analysis of minerals, products and wastes of their processing as well as of rocks, soils, waters and other natural objects.

Performs a chemical analysis of minerals, rocks, ores, products of their benefication and processing as well as of environmental objects including the analyses on the content of natural and technogenous radionuclides and precious metals, giving corresponding Certificates.

Carries out a comprehensive study of the mineralogical, structure and properties of minerals using the complex of up-to-date instrumental methods for the solution of prospect, search, genetic and technological problems.

Fulfils the interpretation of the materials composition of geological anomalies in view of determining the sources of the contamination as well as a degree and nature of their influence on the environment.

Estimates the technological properties of ores including their ability to the benefication using radiometric chemical and metallurgical methods.

Works out ecologically pure technologies for raw mineral processing, which give slight waste products or no waste products.

Provides for a normative documentation concerning the laboratory methods of investigations as well as the standard specimens of chemical and phase constitution, diagnostic collections of rare minerals and ores.
