LUMINESCENCE-MIBERALOGICAL EXPRESS-ANALYSIS OF OXIDIZED ORES OF SILVER AND POLYMETALS

Purpose:

Method allows to find out silver halides, occurring in low contents as fine admixtures, impregnations, skins, selvedges,

and in close accretions with other minerals, in oxidized ores (in pieces, crushed ores, technological samples). Occurring of silver halides in significant content is a reliable searching indicator of silver and polymetalic mineralisation.

The method is based on very bright specific luminescence of the rather widespread but difficultly identified silver halides(minerals of cerargyrite group) under action of long-frequency radiation from lamp sources at low temperatures or under action of radiation of nitric lasers at ordinary temperatures.

The method can be applied:

· When prospecting for silver and polymetals deposits after

oxidized ores;

· When technological sampling of silver-containing ores;

· When upgrading of testing schemes being used for sampling of

linear oxidized zones.

Advantages:

· Speed of analyse (up to 100 samples per shift);

· Prompt service just in field conditions, that improves to

correct prospecting works at place;

· Simple technical maintenance;

· Low cost of works, materials and equipment.

Forms of co-operation:

· Analysis of the Customer’s samples and tests on our own setup;

· Training to techniques;

· Equipping of work stations in laboratories of the Customer.
