X-ray-fluorescence determination of chemical elements in natural
materials
Methodical and program complex
The complex includes
Methods of determining and instruction for an operator;
Software package consisting of managing and processing programs;
Package of the service and diagnostic programs ensuring adjustment of the device SPM-25
and localization of malfunctions.
Analytical conditions
- Simultaneously determined group of 15 chemical elements (from Mn up to U in any set);
- Range of the determined contents is from n.10-4-n.10-3% up to n%.
- Analysed objects: rocks, ores, products of ore processing, concentrates, building
materials, soils, bottom sediments;
- Equipment: serial 16-channel automatic X-ray spectrometer SPM-25;
- Computer PC IBM and another PC having similar resources;
- Account of matrix effects: By the way of a standard background on not-coggerent to the
characteristic radiation from the RhKb1 sample;
- Alalysis accuracy: quantitative determination (the 3-th category);
- Productivity: more than 100 tests in a shift.
Software package:
Processing program: The account of matrix effects, additive and
multiplicate corrections, corrections on "dead time", elucidation of background
and analytical dependences by the method of the least squares on any amount of standard
samples and control tests by different-degree polynoms, estimation of approximation
quality by proximity criterion, rejection of standard samples and control tests when
approximating, graphic display of background and analytical links;
Managing program: The presetting of configuration and measurement
modes, management of operations, inclusion of the secondary X-ray filters, data formation
and data delivery, delivery of service messages about irregular situations, distribution
of the textual helpers.
The methodical and program complex has been put in 16 institutions and
enterprises; IMGRE(Moscow), TsNIIGeolnerud(Kazan), Mining-benefication Plant (GOK)
"Petchenganikel" (Murmansk district), Mining-benefication Plant
(GOK)"Transbaikalian rare metals" (Chita district), GOK "Stepnogorsky"
(Kazakhstan).

- Combination of the device SRM-25 with PC IBM PC/AT;
- Superposition of a methodical and program complex;
- Adaptation of a methodical and program complex to the Customer’s objects;
